when you find yourself in over your head

when you’re wondering if you’ll do enough

that any moment

they’ll see right through you

and you’ll fail and want to give up

when you find you’re not built for the challenge

when it all gets a little too much

take a deep breath

one day after the next

it’s not a race, there’s no need to rush

you’ll find there’s a Father who loves you

whose intentions are kind and just

when you’re in over your head

He’s the very breath

that’s pumping into your lungs

i’ve got nothing to bring to this table

i lay my life down and lift my hands up

this Father, He says,

“child, you’re not perfect,

but my grace is more than enough.”
